The CY4501 CCG1 Development Kit (DVK) is based on the CCG1 product family (CYPD11xx) of Cypress’s USB microcontrollers. The CY4500 EZ-PD™ Protocol Analyzer records traffic passively on the Configuration Channel (CC) and allows user to analyze and debug USB Power Delivery communication. This kit features a Type-C host board along with a CCG2 daughter card. The CY4521 EZ-PD CCG2 Evaluation Kit is used to emulate a USB Type-C Host system. The EZ-PD™ CY4532 CCG3PA Evaluation Kit (EVK) is based on the CCG3PA product family (CYPD37xx) of Cypress's USB Type-C controller with Power Delivery for Power Adapters, Power Bank, Car Chargers.

The CY4533 EZ-PD™ Barrel Connector Replacement (BCR) Evaluation Kit (EVK) is based on the BCR product in Cypress’ USB Type-C and Power Delivery controllers. The CY6611 EZ-USB® HX3PD EVK is based on the Cypress EZ-USB HX3PD Hub controller (CYUSB4347-BZXC) that provides 7 downstream ports with USB 3.1 Gen 2, USB 2.0, USB Type-C and USB Power Delivery features on a mix USB Type-C and USB Type-A ports. USB TYPE C VS USB 3 0 PC
This product family is driving the industry’s first Type-C products with top-tier PC makers, enabling them to bring these USB Type-C benefits to market. Cypress has reference designs readily available for EMCA and dongle applications. Working prototypes of Reference Designs are presented for each application area along with design and debug tools.Ĭypress’ Type-C controllers are based on Cypress’s PSoC® 4 programmable system-on-chip architecture, which includes programmable analog and digital blocks, an Arm® Cortex®-M0 core and 32 KB of flash memory. The four applications covered in this video are: host design, cable design, peripheral design and power adapter design. It also shows how USB-Type-C can be designed into practical products. This training video explains the technological advances introduced with the new USB IF’s Type-C Specification.
